NEW YORK CITY’S MOST EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE MEMBER CLUBS

Elena Ash

New York City has always been home to some of the world’s most elite private clubs, and the latest arrivals are raising the bar even higher. From tech-driven, NFT-based memberships to luxurious, intimate spaces designed for tastemakers and trendsetters, these new clubs promise exclusivity, elegance, and unforgettable experiences. In this post, we spotlight three of the city’s newest and most exclusive private member clubs: Flyfish Club, San Vicente, and Casa Tua.

1. Casa Tua: A Mediterranean Retreat in the Upper East Side
Address: 115 Jane St, New York, NY 10014
Website

Long considered one of Miami’s most exclusive private clubs, Casa Tua is finally making its way to New York City. Located inside the newly renovated Surrey Hotel, a Corinthia property, Casa Tua will bring its signature blend of Mediterranean cuisine and understated elegance to the Upper East Side.

What Makes Casa Tua Special: The New York outpost will include a restaurant and lounge on the hotel’s ground floor, open to the public, but the real magic happens in the members-only space on the second floor. Designed by Michele Bönan and informed by founder Miky Grendene’s own global aesthetic, Casa Tua is all about creating a timeless and soulful environment. Members can expect exclusive programming, personalized service, and a space that feels like a “home away from home.”
The Dining Experience: Casa Tua’s menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine, with strong Italian and French influences, offering a culinary experience as refined as its ambiance. During New York’s cultural events like Art Basel, Casa Tua has been a go-to spot for tastemakers and celebrities. Its New York location promises to deliver the same level of sophistication and luxury.

Membership Perks: Casa Tua’s nearly 3,000 members enjoy access to exclusive spaces and bespoke service. While it doesn’t flaunt its celebrity clientele, the club’s allure lies in its privacy and the intimate, high-end experiences it offers. Members in New York will also benefit from access to Casa Tua’s other locations in Miami, Aspen, and Paris.

2. Flyfish Club: The World’s First NFT-Based Private Dining Club
Address: 141 E Houston St, New York, NY 10002
Website

Leading the charge in combining cutting-edge technology with luxury dining, Flyfish Club is New York’s first members-only restaurant that operates on NFT memberships. Launched by the VCR Group, including entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, Flyfish Club raised $14 million through NFT sales before it even opened. Located in SoHo, this exclusive club offers an unparalleled dining experience for members who initially bought in via cryptocurrency.

What Makes It Unique: Flyfish Club’s NFT memberships are a tech-forward innovation in the private club scene. Members who own these NFTs gain access to the restaurant’s exclusive dining spaces and private events. An omakase sushi counter, curated by celebrated chefs Masa Ito and Kevin Kim, offers a unique and luxurious culinary experience. Alongside sushi, members can enjoy a menu of top-tier seafood, steaks, and fine dining options, all within an 11,000-square-foot space that includes a restaurant, lounge, and bar.

Membership Details: Initially sold as NFTs, Flyfish memberships now start at $3,500 for standard access, with yearly fees of $500. NFT owners get a $500 dining credit annually. The exclusivity and tech aspect of Flyfish Club make it a trailblazer in blending blockchain with high-end dining.

3. San Vicente: A West Coast Favorite Expands to NYC’s West Village
Address: 115 Jane St, New York, NY 10014
Website

San Vicente Bungalows, known for its ultra-exclusive private club in West Hollywood, is set to open its first East Coast location in New York’s West Village. Owner Jeff Klein has purchased and renovated the historic Jane Hotel, transforming it into a luxurious private members’ retreat. Interiors have been designed by the acclaimed British designer Rose Uniacke in collaboration with the award-winning architecture firm Stonehill Taylor, creating a sophisticated and intimate environment for members.

What to Expect at San Vicente West Village: Set to open soon, this new location offers an array of spaces designed for dining, entertainment, and social gatherings. Members will have access to multiple dining rooms and bars, a screening room, a discotheque, a billiards room, and a stunning roof garden overlooking the Hudson River. Each of the luxurious guest rooms features private terraces, adding to the exclusivity and charm of the space.

Membership Process: Prospective members must be nominated by a current San Vicente member, but a nomination alone doesn’t guarantee acceptance. Memberships are reviewed monthly by a committee, ensuring that only the most connected and influential individuals are granted access. Existing San Vicente members from the West Hollywood location will automatically have access to the New York outpost for the first year, and after that, they can upgrade to the Global Program to continue enjoying all of the club’s locations.

A New Era of Private Member Clubs in NYC

These three clubs—Flyfish Club, San Vicente, and Casa Tua—are leading a new wave of exclusivity and luxury in New York City. Whether it’s through cutting-edge blockchain technology, the revival of historic spaces, or the creation of intimate, Mediterranean-inspired retreats, each club offers something uniquely different to its members. For those who crave privacy, elegance, and top-tier experiences, these clubs are setting new standards in NYC’s private member scene.
